It is interesting to me when something that inspired me years ago, starts making an appearance in my artwork. After a trip to Patagonia in April 2023, I was drawn in to the beautiful autumn colours. In some places, like the Torres del Paine area, they were slightly muted, having to compete with the blue-grey of the mountain peaks. In the cities, they shouted louder. My new series is trying to bring those colours into focus. So far, they haven't been muted, but we will see what time brings.
