This is a little work in progress. It starts out calmly enough, covering over some brighter colours with black, and then wiping off some of the paint so the result looks a bit distressed and faded, like a faded storefront sign.
But, then…I start adding yellow, very bright yellow, straight-from-the-tube yellow, and it changes dramatically.
Once this dries, I will soften the yellow again, but this is all part of the process. Loud-soft-bold-calm.
