As my customers, I may hold some information about you (your name, email address, transactional data such as purchase information, postal address and telephone number.) This is a short note setting out everything you could ever wish to know about how I collect, use and store this information. But if you still have any pressing questions after reading this, please contact me.

I am committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. Should I ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: When I talk about “information”, I am only referring to your contact or purchase details. I never have access to your financial information when you make payments using PayPal. All sensitive financial information is held securely by the processing companies, and they never share this with me, or anyone else.

What I collect:

Contact information, including name and email address, transactional data such as purchase information, postal address and telephone number.

Other information may be collected by outside providers, such as IP addresses for Google Analytics and Mailchimp, and bank details for Paypal. Please note I don’t have any access to this data, this is processed by these providers and you can opt out of providing it.

How I collect information:

I use Mailchimp to manage my mailing list. You will only ever end up on this mailing list if you have signed up for my Collector's Club newsletter, or if you have specifically asked me to add you to it. You may opt-in to my mailing list, at the time of a purchase from me, and can unsubscribe at any time.

Whenever you buy an artwork from me, either directly or through my online shops, you give me sufficient information about you to enable me to process the order.

I use Shopify on my website, for purchases. This enables me to collect information during the checkout process in the store. Shopify tracks products you’ve viewed, location, IP address and browser type (to estimate shipping and taxes), and shipping address. Cookies also keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing the site. This information is only used to send you information about your order, respond to requests or complaints, process payments, comply with any legal obligations such as taxes, and send you marketing messages if you choose to receive them.

Shopify, has cookies enabled for this site to make sure your computer (or other device) is recognised when you visit here again. You can find out more about cookies in general here.

Blog articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These outside websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who has access to your information:

As a sole trader, I am the only one who ever has access to your information, and I never, ever pass this on to anyone else.

I use the following third party processors:

* I use MailChimp as a way of managing my mailing list, and your details are also stored on their servers. Mailchimp is owned by Intuit. You can read the Mailchimp Privacy Policy here.

* If you pay me using PayPal, they will also hold information about you. You can read the Paypal Privacy Policy here.

* I use Google Analytics to collect statistics on how people are using and navigating my website and to improve these aspects. You can read the Google Analytics Privacy Policy here.

* I use theprintspace to process and fulfil print orders. You can read their Privacy Policy here.

* I use a link to my Facebook and Instagram Pages on my website, as a means of connecting with you. You can read the Facebook Privacy Policy here.

* I sometimes link to YouTube in my blog posts. YouTube is owned by Google, and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

How I use your information:

I send out regular newsletters to those who have signed up to my mailing list to receive information about Kimberli Werner Art. I will only send promotional emails about new products, gallery exhibitions, special offers, or other information I think you may find interesting, if you have signed up to my mailing list. Purchases for products will not automatically add you to this list, your name will only be added if you opt-in.

What I do with the information gathered:

  • I use it for internal record keeping
  • I use it to process online sales – I need to keep details of sales transactions for accounting and tax purposes and to comply with record keeping guidelines. This information is kept safely and I don’t hold your bank details, these are held by my 3rd party processors, as noted above.

How I store information:

I keep an electronic spreadsheet of all customers that buy my work through galleries, exhibitions, or directly through me. This is held on a password-protected device.

I keep this spreadsheet solely for accounting and tax purposes (I need to keep all sales records for at least 6 years).

Links to other websites:

My website contains links to other websites that process some of my online sales. However, once you have used these links to leave my site, you should note that I do not have any control over those other websites. Therefore, I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question, as linked below.

Your rights:

You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, and I will give you full details free of charge. You also have the right to ask that your details be deleted, amended or transferred. If you ever change your mind about what information, if any, you want me to hold on your behalf, just contact me.
